(based on the play “The Madness of a Day, or the Marriage of Figaro” by Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais, the eccentric comedy)

“I am writing this foreword, not for the sake of fruitless arguments about whether the play is good or bad: time for such arguments had passed… I am worried about something else. We pose ourselves as the picky experts, we cover the dissolution of morals with the mask of decency, thus we are turning ourselves into nonentities, who can neither enjoy ourselves, nor judge about what we need, what we love and what to reject. In short, I came to the conclusion that unless some brave soul doesn’t shake off all this dust, in the near future, the member of the audience will be sick of our boring plays, and he will rush to the boulevards, to the stinking gathering of booths, to this shame for all of us – to the place where decent freedom, banished from the theatre, turns into an unbridled licentiousness, where young adults acquire some senseless rudeness, and where, they lose (along with the moral feeling) the taste to all decent things (and at the same time to the exemplary works of great writers).

So I wanted to become such a valiant, and since I have not found the great talent in my works, then, in any case, I expressed my intention”.

The person who comes to the theatre to watch the performance is forced to go up to the scene. He finds himself in a wonderful world where characters play games, spontaneously creating the rules. There is a masked ball atmosphere. Every character is trying to change the main protagonist’s believes, to broaden his view on life, encouraging him to fantasize and to create. Encountering every character he learns a specific lesson, which allows him to dive into the world of art and creation. The performance gained “Golden mask” at the International festival “South masks” in Mikolayiv.

This is a love story between a successful composer and a girl who has unusual abilities. The plot is full of light and charm, wonderful discoveries and tragic moments. Their relationship might last forever, but… “All barriers which people build around them arise because of the fear,” as Elias Kanetti once said. This quote became an epigraph to the performance.

a romantic comedy based on William Shakespeare’s play “Twelfth night; or, what you will”

The play is believed to have been written around 1600 as a Twelfth Night’s entertainment. This celebration, which involved mask balls and caroling, concluded Christmas ceremonies. According to the legend Queen Elizabeth ordered Shakespeare to write a joyful comedy, so he did. The characters live in fictional country Illyria, ruled by Duke Orsino. This is a place where Viola and Sebastyan find themselves, which gives start to the dizzying story. This play is a classical interpretation of one of the best Shakespeare’s comedies. This is a bright and joyful performance about love.

an absurd drama based on the similarly-named Nina Sadur’s play

…It’s winter. Late night. A small village can be seen far away. The stars appear on the sky. A moujik is standing on the railway track ready to die. There’s a sound of the train approaching…

Every character which appears in this bizarre and touching story is lonely in his own way. Everyone tries to handle this pain. While some of them succeed, the other goes on with his life staying lonely.

There is an epigraph to the performance – this is what says Snauts from “Solyaris”, Andrei Tarkovsky’s movie: “I have to say that we don’t want to conquer space at all. We want to expand Earth endlessly. We don’t want other worlds; we want a mirror. We seek contact and will never achieve it. Man needs man!…” The performance has received diplomas for best actor works and best debut at the International Festival “Rampa-2011″ (DnIpropetrIvsk).
